Spring Cleaning – 4 Ideas To Spruce Up Your Business

Can you believe it’s already spring again? The birds are chirping, (if you’re like me) the woodpeckers are making your house their home, and life is being reborn all around us. Just as we need to prune and fertilize for new growth outside, we need to do the same with our businesses in order to see them grow and prosper. And, because we’ve always got your best interest in mind, these are some of our favorite ways to freshen things up for the season ahead!

Clutter Control

Yes, traditional spring cleaning is a must, even in your business. It’s time to clean out the old files and get into the storage rooms. Archive what needs to be kept, and shred/toss your old documents. Why not even consider adding some new paint, blinds or new furniture to change life up a little?

Clutter can even take the form of E-Clutter so get into those email boxes and start filtering! You may have even have ideas hidden away in some of those email folders or lost contacts that you need to re-connect with. Don’t forget to get into your desktop folders and see what’s been lingering and taking up space there, too!

Spruce Up Your Website

When was the last time you’re page was updated or for that matter even built for your specific business? We are in the social media era and it’s vital to be on board. If you’re not, you are missing out on the majority of the population that will find you that way, and that way alone. It’s important to give the people what they want, and having a website from 2002 is not what they are looking for. They want fast, fun, and interactive.

Spring Ahead

Strategize with your team and start setting some short and long-term goals. Let them know where your head is at and find out where theirs is. The best way to do this is by making a list of projects you would like to get done in the next six months, and then, prioritize them. List them out on a whiteboard, and begin to work backward on that first goal/project. It’s likely that everyone will benefit and find this approach to be very successful.

Slow Season

If spring is your slow season, great! Even better!! What is a project you have always wanted to try but haven’t had the time to? Well, why not take a deep breath and do it now when the risk is low and you can really focus on the success of it? Why not sit down and re-assess your business plan? Is it still working for you? Is it still serving you the way it was when you started? If not, revamp it. Sit down and re-write your mission statement.

And finally, know this, there isn’t one thing here we can’t help you with. If you become overwhelmed or need ideas specific to your business, contact us here. Remember we’re here to work with you and make your life better, calmer, and more productive!

Happy spring!
