Social Media Marketing: Using The Big Three Outlets To Your Advantage

Updated: Jul 15, 2022

It doesn’t matter if your brand is an international success or a small-to-medium enterprise; you can no longer ignore social media marketing. Quickly being recognized as one of the most popular forms of marketing, social media engagement is a wonderful way to speak your brands’ message with minimal cost. How do you get started? Let us break it down by starting with the big three: Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Social Media Marketing Through Facebook

Facebook is constantly changing its privacy policy, and it can be challenging to stay on top of the percentage of your fans that are actually seeing your content. Not everyone who “likes” your Facebook page will be able to engage with your page, because Facebook does not prioritize all business pages in fans’ timelines. If a fan likes or comments on one of your posts, they will see your content more often – but if they don’t, your content will be “hidden.”

It’s imperative that your social media marketing manager produces engaging content that fans will be inclined to engage with. Ask for the likes and comments for your posts. Also, post your content during a time you know your fans will be most likely to engage.

Social Media Marketing Through Twitter

Twitter is a fun way to use small bits of information to create the voice for your brand. Your brand has 140 characters to make an impression. Make sure to follow your fans on twitter and respond to their inquiries with professionalism and kindness. Some big brands will even use an additional twitter handle just for customer service.

Social Media Marketing Through Instagram

Instagram tells your brand’s story with images. You can snap photos of your products, staff, customers, or whatever helps convey your brand’s culture. Some brands will display the manufacturing process of its products, while others choose to snap photos of customers and clients to show the ‘human’ aspect of their company. This is a great platform for thinking outside the box and having some fun.

No matter the path you choose to take in regards to your social media marketing, remember to employ a professional strategy that communicates the culture of your company while bringing an approachable voice to your brand with the big three!
